Temple Fork Outfitters is once again helping our wounded warriors, this time with the introduction of a five-rod series to benefit the injured veterans association Heroes On The Water. Delivery to retailers is anticipated for Labor Day.
Designed by Gary Loomis, the new one-piece rods were introduced last week at the ICAST 2010 trade show in Las Vegas. MSRP will be $99.95.
The Heroes program's primary goal is to assist injured service members with their physical and mental recovery by introducing them to the therapeutic benefits of fishing from kayaks. Participants get to decompress from the stresses associated with combat and the rigors of rehabilitation by taking guided fishing trips at various locations around the country.
The Heroes rods are metallic blue with matching wraps and red tipping. The Heroes logo is prominently displayed on each rod's split grip, and Temple Fork will donate $5 to Heroes On The Water for each Heroes rod purchased through an authorized TFO dealer.
