Rave Reviews For Temple Fork's BVK Rods

Attendees at the International Fly Tackle Retailers Show are loving the new BVK rods from Temple Fork Outfitters. They just can't believe a company has found a way to produce such an outstanding fly rod with TFO pricing.

The 8-weight is still my darling. Responsive, light, yet powerful. But the other BVK models are getting plenty of attention here in Denver as well. The 8-foot 3-weight has dazzled quite a few folks, and that rod is still in its prototype form, meaning it's going to be even better when it gets into stores later this year. And the 9- and 10-weight prototypes are simply awesome.

I'll be honest: I had some reservations about the 9-weight that I'd tried back in August. Though that was a good rod, it struck me at the time as a bit raw. Well, Lefty Kreh and the rest of TFO's design team really nailed the latest version. Hard for me to believe this new 9-weight can get any better, but I'd be foolish to sell Lefty short.

TFO President Rick Pope assures me the BVK rods, in line weights from 5- to 8-weight, should be in the stores in late September or early October. And at prices ranging from $224.95 to $249.95, these 9-foot beauties will sell quickly.

Look for the other line weights to show up before the end of the year.

By the way, some folks are still asking the meaning of BVK: Bernard Victor Kreh.
